There are three of us behind ExtremaduraBirding - William, Juan Pablo, and Ana.

William

After many years working as a university Principal Lecturer in Spanish, he discovered the delights of Extremadura in 2002. After various years split between Liverpool and Orellana, he now spends most of the year in Extremadura, and can even enjoy the 40°C heat in July along with other mad dogs! A lifelong birdwatcher, he is keen to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for Extremadura with visitors. William's blog: ExtremaduraBirding blog

After qualifying as an Agricultural Engineer, Juan Pablo's work has always been related to the environment in general and ornithology in particular. He has worked for several years in the SEO (Spain's BTO-equivalent), run courses, published guides and books on birds in Extremadura, and worked on documentaries. Juan Pablo's blog: Diario de un enfoque

Ana 1 1 of 1Ana

25 years living in England teaching Spanish to demanding students still hasn't dented her patience  and enthusiasm. Born in León in North-West Spain (over 6 hours drive away from Orellana!) she studied Geography and History. Within ExtremaduraBirding she looks after the logistical side of the visits and is able to provide input on the culture and history of Extremadura.
